Cross Check Catahoulas

Welcome!

The name Cross Check comes from Kenzie's "signature move". When you ask her if she wants to go
to work, she runs at you, jumps up and bounces off of you with her front paws...like a cross check.
She has managed to teach this move to all the dogs here. Thank you Kenzie.

Cross Check Catahoulas is a small breeder located in mid-western Ontario, Canada with a focus on
producing exceptional working dogs. Our need for working cow dogs is the sole purpose of our
breeding program, everything else we do with the dogs is just a bonus. Our dogs are used on a
regular basis gathering and penning cattle on our cow/calf operation as well as a small amount of
custom penning for our neighbours. We strive to produce a truly versatile dog with extreme work
ethic, endurance and intelligence, an easy going temperament, and functional conformation. We are
a National Association of Louisiana Catahoulas (NALC) certified breeder and a member of the
American Catahoula Association (ACA). All of our dogs are dual registered with the NALC and the
United Kennel Club (UKC).

We also actively show our dogs with the UKC, Canadian Rare Breed Club, Catahoula Hog Dog
Association (CHDA) and NALC to great success. Our dogs have conformation champion titles, and
are pointed in multiple working events. Be sure to check out each dog's awards page to see how
